Spencer Clarke Tutors are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Tutor to support learners in Stockton-on-Tees on a part-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised 1:1 educational support to learners who may be unable to access mainstream education or require additional support with their learning.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition.
- Adapt lessons to meet individual SEND needs.
- Support learners to re-engage with education and build confidence.
- Help learners develop academically, socially and emotionally.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with learners and their families.
- Monitor progress and provide appropriate feedback.

The Ideal Candidate
- Has experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
- Has a teaching, tutoring or relevant educational background.
- Can adapt their teaching style to individual learning needs.
- Is patient, nurturing, reliable and resilient.
- Has excellent communication skills.
- Is passionate about helping learners reach their potential.
- Experience supporting learners with autism, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, anxiety, behavioural needs or other additional educational needs would be beneficial.
