The young people we support may be:
- Out of mainstream education
- Struggling with attendance or school refusal
- Experiencing anxiety or SEMH needs
- Diagnosed with ASD or ADHD
- Living with additional learning needs or EHCP requirements
- Finding traditional school settings challenging
As a 1:1 Maths & English Tutor, you will build positive relationships with pupils, identify gaps in their learning and deliver engaging sessions tailored to their individual needs. Your support will help learners rebuild confidence, improve their academic skills and re-engage with education.
What we're looking for:
- Minimum of 1 year tutoring or teaching experience
- Experience delivering Maths and English tuition
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN
- Strong understanding of additional needs and barriers to learning
- Ability to deliver engaging and differentiated 1:1 sessions
- Patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
- Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH or anxiety-related needs is desirable
- GCSE and Functional Skills experience is beneficial
- Availability for flexible daytime sessions
