Spencer Clarke Group are looking for an interim Service Director to lead a large local authority's Economy, Property and Regeneration functions. This is a senior leadership post with responsibility for economic strategy, inward investment, business growth, regeneration delivery, and strategic property assets. This is a high-profile opportunity to drive major place-based programmes, shape policy and partnerships, and ensure delivery across complex portfolios, including external funding and capital projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading economic strategy, inward investment and business growth activity
- Oversight of regeneration programmes, capital projects and associated governance
- Strategic leadership of property and corporate landlord/asset functions
- Building partnerships with developers, funders, agencies and regional bodies
- Securing and managing external funding portfolios and investment programmes
- Advising senior stakeholders and elected members, producing clear strategic reports
- Leading budgets, performance, risk, business continuity and workforce priorities
About you:
- Significant senior leadership experience across regeneration, property, economic development, investment or related fields
- Strong programme leadership across complex, multi-disciplinary services
- Track record delivering major regeneration and capital programmes
- Proven ability to develop partnerships and influence at senior levels
- Confident working in political environments and advising elected members
