1:1 SEND Tutors Required - Derbyshire. Spencer Clarke Tutors is working very closely with Derbyshire Local Authority and is looking to recruit 1:1 tutors to support children and young people with SEND and SEMH needs. Tutors will deliver individualised tuition to learners who may be out of mainstream education or require additional support. Tuition will take place either in the child's home or in a local community setting, such as a library.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver tailored 1:1 sessions in line with the learner's needs
- Support engagement, confidence, and educational progress
- Adapt teaching approaches for SEND and SEMH learners
- Provide feedback and basic progress updates
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with learners with SEND and/or SEMH needs is essential
- QTS is desirable but not essential
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt sessions as required
