We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Tutor to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. This role involves delivering high-quality support either on a 1:1 basis or within small groups of up to six students, helping learners to build confidence, develop key skills, and reach their full potential.
The Role
- Provide tailored educational support to students with a range of SEND needs
- Deliver engaging, structured sessions aligned with individual learning plans
- Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles and abilities
- Support students academically, socially, and emotionally
- Work independently while maintaining clear communication with parents, carers, and professionals where required
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience working with children or young people with SEND (essential)
- Strong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting learners with additional needs
- Ability to tutor 1:1 and manage small groups (up to 6 students) effectively
