We are currently recruiting for an experienced and dedicated SEN Teacher to work within specialist provisions across the Chorley area and surrounding locations. This is a full-time opportunity supporting students with a range of additional needs within specialist educational settings. The successful candidate must be adaptable, resilient, and passionate about supporting vulnerable learners to achieve their full potential.

Role Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual student needs
  • Supporting students with SEND and SEMH additional needs
  • Creating a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
  • Managing behaviour effectively and promoting emotional regulation
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants, pastoral staff, and external professionals
  • Monitoring student progress and adapting teaching strategies accordingly

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Previous experience teaching within specialist provisions
  • Able to travel across Chorley and surrounding areas
  • Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service or willingness to pay and apply for one
  • Minimum 24 months employment references
  • Strong behaviour management and adaptability skills
