School-Based Sports Coach – SEND & SEMH Provisions

Location: Liverpool & The Wirral
Hours: Term Time Only, Monday to Friday
Pay: £106 – £115 per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role:
We\’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Sports Coach to work in schools across Liverpool and The Wirral, supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This rewarding role involves using sport and physical activity to engage, inspire, and motivate pupils – helping them develop confidence, teamwork skills, and a positive attitude towards learning. You\’ll play a vital role in supporting students\’ physical and emotional well being through structured sessions and one-to-one mentoring.

What We\’re Looking For:
A background in sports coaching or personal training (essential)
Experience working with young people (school, community, or club settings)
A resilient, proactive, and empathetic approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Desirable:

Experience supporting children with SEND or SEMH needs

Requirements:

Minimum 24 months of employment references with no large gaps in employment

Must hold an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (UDS), or be willing to apply and pay for one before starting

This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
