About the Role
We're looking for an experienced and passionate School Lead to join our specialist education setting in Mansfield. Reporting to the Assistant Headteacher, you'll lead the day-to-day running of the school, supporting the delivery of high-quality education, outstanding pastoral care and a positive learning environment for children and young people with additional needs. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced SEND Teacher, Lead Teacher, SENCO or aspiring senior leader looking to take the next step into school leadership.
What You'll Do
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the school.
- Support and develop teaching and support staff.
- Drive high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour and attendance.
- Promote outstanding safeguarding and wellbeing across the school.
- Monitor pupil progress and use data to improve outcomes.
- Work closely with the Assistant Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to deliver school improvement priorities.
- Build positive relationships with families and external professionals.
About You
You'll have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working within a SEND, SEMH or specialist education setting.
- Proven leadership experience or responsibility for leading teams or whole-school initiatives.
- Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.
- A passion for improving outcomes for children and young people with additional needs.
- A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
