Part-Time Catering Manager - School | Wirral

Location: Wirral

Hours: Wednesday to Friday, 8:00am - 2:00pm (18 hours per week)

Pay: £18.00 - £19.00 per hour

Contract: Temporary with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Catering Manager to join a friendly school on the Wirral. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for delivering high-quality school meals while leading a small catering team in a positive and supportive environment. There may also be potential for further hours where required.

The Role

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the school kitchen
  • Prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality meals
  • Lead, motivate and support the catering team
  • Ensure food hygiene, health & safety, and allergen standards are maintained
  • Manage stock control, ordering and kitchen budgets
  • Maintain a clean, organised and compliant kitchen

About You

  • Previous experience managing a catering operation, ideally within a school, education or contract catering environment
  • Food Hygiene Level 3 (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • A positive, hands-on approach with excellent communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
