We are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant in Salford to work within a mainstream primary school supporting pupils who require additional support in the classroom. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, 1:1 Teaching Assistant or SEND Support Worker looking for a new role in the Bolton area.
Key responsibilities:- Providing 1:1 support and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
- Supporting children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs.
- Supporting emotional regulation, routines and positive behaviour.
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team.
- Encouraging confidence, independence and engagement in lessons.
- Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development.
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN / SEND.
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEN TA, Youth Worker, Support Worker or Care Assistant.
- A calm, patient and resilient approach.
- Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviour.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A genuine interest in working in education and supporting vulnerable learners.
