If so, we want to hear from you! We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Teaching Assistant to join a Pupil Referral Unit in Longsight. This is a full-time role with immediate start, supporting children who require additional help to thrive in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with diverse learning needs.
- Assist with behaviour management and support emotional wellbeing.
- Help in creating and implementing educational plans tailored to individual students.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress and adapt strategies.
- Ensure a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with behavioural and/or special educational needs.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Strong communication skills, both with students and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
