Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Private Rented Sector Liaison Officer for a Local Authority Client in Surrey. In this role you will manage the transition of landlords and tenants to the Rental Support Scheme, working to protect tenancies and prevent homelessness.
Duties:
- Lead and manage the transition of landlords and tenants from the Guaranteed Rent Scheme to the Rental Support Scheme.
- Negotiate with landlords to sustain tenancies and minimise the risk of eviction.
- Provide practical tenancy sustainment and resettlement support to tenants.
- Secure and coordinate alternative accommodation where tenancies cannot be maintained.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working in a frontline role supporting members of the public.
- Experience within housing advice, tenancy management, or the private rented sector.
- Experience negotiating with landlords, agents, or other stakeholders.
- Experience managing challenging or emotionally sensitive situations.
What's on offer:
- Salary: £23+ph (may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience)
- Contract type: 6 months minimum
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
