We are seeking a committed and knowledgeable Outreach Worker to join our Cognition and Learning Team, supporting children and young people across primary and secondary schools in the Halifax area. This role is ideal for someone with experience in educational settings who is passionate about supporting pupils with cognition and learning needs to access education and make progress.

The Role

  • Providing outreach support to pupils with Cognition and Learning needs
  • Working across primary and/or secondary school settings
  • Supporting learning, engagement, and access to the curriculum
  • Advising and supporting school staff with strategies and interventions
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
  • Travelling between school sites as required

Requirements

  • Experience working in primary and/or secondary schools (essential)
  • Experience supporting pupils with Cognition and Learning needs
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive, flexible, and supportive approach
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
