We are seeking committed and resilient Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEND and SEMH needs across a range of primary and secondary provisions in Norwich and the wider Norfolk area. This is a highly rewarding role for individuals who are passionate about supporting vulnerable children and young people and who can adapt confidently to different school environments.
The Role
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
- Supporting emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement with learning
- Working closely with teachers and SEN teams to implement support strategies
- Creating safe, structured, and nurturing learning environments
- Supporting pupils across multiple school settings as required
Who We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people in education, youth work, or support work
- Confidence supporting pupils with SEND and/or SEMH needs
- Ability to travel to different locations across Norwich and Norfolk
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Relevant personal experience supporting children with additional needs (valued)
Desirable Qualifications
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Childcare or Social Care qualifications
- SEND or SEMH-related training or CPD
