Full time, Permanent, Term time only, £28,992 - £35,636 per annum (including paid school holidays), Sunderland, Tyne and Wear.

Our Private Client are recruiting a Newly Qualified Speech and Language Therapist for their specialist day school in Sunderland on a permanent basis. The school is one of the leading SEN settings in the North East, supporting children and young people with ADHD, ASD, SEMH and SLCN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offering evidence based, holistic and child-centred assessments and interventions.
  • Undertake high quality assessments of children and young people and make recommendations about appropriate therapeutic interventions for each child or young person, in accordance with individual assessed needs.
  • Work closely with children, young people, their parents and staff to ensure a personalised plan of delivery.
  • To identify training needs, develop and facilitate training sessions to staff and parents/carers.
  • Attend and/or inform Post Admission Reviews, Annual Reviews and ITACs for those children on your caseload.

Requirements:

  • Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.
  • Experience of supporting teams around a child or young person to ensure they are being provided with clinically informed living and learning environments and experiences.
