Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a motivated and caring Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school based in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in education or gain experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

This role is Monday-Friday 8:30-3:30.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs in the classroom
  • Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging and accessible learning activities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support
  • Help manage behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
  • Support pupils with their social, emotional, and communication needs
  • Assist with classroom preparation and general duties
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • A DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one
  • A genuine interest in working with children and supporting their development
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Any previous experience working with children (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
