We are seeking a passionate and resilient Qualified Teacher to join our dedicated team at our specialist SEMH school. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and young people who require additional support to overcome social, emotional and mental health challenges and achieve their full potential.
About the Role
- Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils.
- Foster positive relationships and promote emotional wellbeing.
- Support pupils with a range of SEMH needs, helping them to engage successfully in learning.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, families and external professionals.
- Implement behaviour support strategies and restorative approaches.
- Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress and attainment.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and support enrichment opportunities.
About You
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has an enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one.
- Has experience working with children and young people, ideally within an SEMH, SEND or alternative provision setting.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and behaviour support skills.
- Has a strong understanding of trauma-informed and nurturing approaches.
- Is patient, adaptable and committed to achieving the best outcomes for every pupil.
- Can build positive, professional relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
- Has high expectations and a belief that every child can succeed.
