We are working with a client in the Middlesbrough Area to appoint multiple Children's Residential Support Workers on a permanent basis across several of their homes. You will contribute to creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where children can grow, develop, and achieve positive outcomes. The role includes working across residential homes within the local authority and supporting children in community settings when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality care that meets children's physical, emotional, social, and behavioural needs.
- Using therapeutic and restorative approaches to build positive relationships and support emotional development.
- Managing challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent, and child-focused manner.
- Supporting daily routines including education, health, and social activities.
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to care planning.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
- Participating in a rota including nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
