What you need:
- Prior experience in care, support work or similar.
- Familiarity with SEND needs and support.
- Ability to motivate and engage pupils through personalised strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong resilience and adaptability in handling challenging behaviours.
What you will be doing:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with a wide range of learning disabilities, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and complex needs.
- Work closely with teaching staff to deliver adapted lessons and creative learning activities that meet individual needs.
- Assist with developing communication, social interaction, and life skills using approaches such as PECS, Makaton, and sensory play.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing atmosphere where children can thrive and develop confidence.
