What you need:

  • Prior experience in care, support work or similar.
  • Familiarity with SEND needs and support.
  • Ability to motivate and engage pupils through personalised strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong resilience and adaptability in handling challenging behaviours.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with a wide range of learning disabilities, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and complex needs.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to deliver adapted lessons and creative learning activities that meet individual needs.
  • Assist with developing communication, social interaction, and life skills using approaches such as PECS, Makaton, and sensory play.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing atmosphere where children can thrive and develop confidence.
