We are currently seeking a passionate and resilient SEMH Teacher to join a specialist setting in the Manchester area supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will be working with pupils who may present with anxiety, trauma, behavioural needs and disengagement from education, helping them to re-engage with learning in a structured and supportive way.

  • Planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons for pupils with SEMH needs
  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management strategies
  • Building strong, trusting relationships to promote engagement and progress
  • Adapting teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or strong experience teaching SEMH pupils
  • Experience working with SEMH, SEN or challenging behaviour
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
  • A calm, consistent and resilient teaching approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred - or happy to pay for a new DBS if required
