Spencer Clarke Group have an opportunity for an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to support a major public-sector programme focused on identifying, acquiring, and refurbishing residential properties to improve outcomes for children and young people in residential care.
You will lead activity across:
- Pre-acquisition, due diligence, approvals, acquisition and post-acquisition delivery
- Refurbishment delivery, including project management and contract administration
Responsibilities include:
- Managing RICS Level 3 surveys and valuations, plus legal due diligence and conveyancing through to completion
- Managing consultants through measured surveys, concept design, planning and building regulations
- Leading refurbishment delivery: programme, cost control, risk, quality, reporting
- Contract administration duties (including variations, valuations, interim payments, practical completion)
- Chairing progress meetings and maintaining accurate project records
Requirements:
- Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) (or equivalent demonstrable senior experience)
- Strong project management and contract administration capability (ideally JCT experience)
- Comfortable with surveys, valuations, due diligence and stakeholder reporting/approvals
