Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Temporary Accommodation Placement Officer for a Local Authority Client in North London. In this role, you will support homeless households by sourcing, allocating and managing suitable temporary accommodation, ensuring statutory duties are met.
Duties:
- Source and book suitable temporary accommodation placements on a daily basis for homeless households
- Assess housing needs and complete sign-ups, ensuring all tenancy and housing benefit paperwork is accurately processed
- Manage case records on housing systems, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in line with statutory requirements
- Support residents through the temporary accommodation process, including move-ins, move-outs, and difficult housing decisions
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working in a busy housing, homelessness or customer-facing service supporting vulnerable people
- Experience of assessing needs and making decisions in line with housing legislation or organisational policy
