A London-based Local Authority is currently recruiting for several experienced SEND Case Officers to join their service on an interim basis.

Pay Rate: £219 - £293 per day

Hours: Full-time

Contract: 3-6 month contract (with likely extension)

Working Arrangements: Hybrid working - 60% community-based across London

Start Date: ASAP

Role Overview

The SEND Case Officer will play a key role in the coordination, development, monitoring, and review of Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans. You will work closely with children, young people, families, schools, and multi-agency partners to ensure high-quality, person-centred support packages that meet individual needs and statutory requirements. This is a varied role combining caseload management, partnership working, and statutory compliance to ensure children and young people receive the right education provision and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of children and young people with EHCPs
  • Draft, amend, and review Education, Health and Care Plans
  • Coordinate and attend annual reviews and multi-agency meetings
  • Work closely with education, health, and social care professionals
  • Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and statutory deadlines
  • Support effective planning and decision-making around provision and placement
