Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting for an experienced Repairs & Maintenance Surveyor to support a high-profile London public sector landlord with day-to-day housing repairs and property inspections. This is a hands-on, site-based contract role, ideal for a practical surveyor who can diagnose defects quickly, write clear specs, and manage works through to completion.
Responsibilities include:
- Carrying out pre-inspections and post-inspections across social housing stock
- Diagnosing building defects and specifying remedial works (including damp and mould)
- Producing clear schedules of work and working with contractors to deliver repairs
- Managing variations and supporting performance and quality checks
- Maintaining accurate records and reports using mobile / IT systems
- Applying relevant housing and building legislation and standards in day-to-day decisions
About you:
- A recognised surveying qualification
- Strong social housing repairs experience
- Confident defect diagnosis, report writing, and scheduling/specification
- Good IT skills and experience working with housing/asset/repairs systems
