Spencer Clarke Group are now working with a lovely business owner who is currently on the lookout for a part time, experienced Bookkeeper to assist with their two businesses! My client is a small business (£2 million turnover) looking for someone to join their fun, light hearted team that will bring both plenty of Bookkeeping knowledge and personality. This role will be part time, either 3 days a week or 24 hours spread over the week - they can be flexible.
My client is searching for someone who is happy to get their teeth stuck into every aspect of Bookkeeping within the business. Experience using Sage would be essential. (Our client uses Sage 200)
Job Duties:- Financial Record Keeping
- Maintaining and updating financial records
- Filing invoices, receipts, and other financial documents
- Ensuring data accuracy in accounting systems (e.g., Excel, Sage 200)
- Accounts Payable
- Processing supplier invoices
- Preparing payment runs
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Handling purchase orders & invoices
- Accounts Receivable
- Preparing and sending customer invoices
- Tracking incoming payments
- Following up on outstanding invoices
- Updating customer records
- Bank & Ledger Reconciliation
- Reconciling bank statements with company accounts
- Checking for discrepancies and reporting issues
- Maintaining general ledger entries
- Updating petty cash logs
