Interim Head of Education Planning

West London | £600-£700 per day | Hybrid Working

We are recruiting for an experienced Interim Head of Education Planning for a Local authority in West London, leading a key portfolio across School Organisation, Public Consultation and School Place Planning.
/n
Key Responsibilities
/n
/n
- Lead strategic School Organisation and Place Planning across the borough.
/n
- Lead complex public and statutory consultation processes.
/n
- Manage school organisation proposals including expansions, amalgamations, PAN reductions and changes to provision.
/n
- Lead mainstream and SEND sufficiency planning.
/n
- Use pupil forecasting and demographic data to inform future provision.
/n
- Work closely with schools, communities, the DfE, senior officers and elected members.
/n
- Provide strategic advice and reports for Cabinet, Scrutiny and senior leadership.
/n
- Support education estate, resource and financial planning.
/n

About You
/n
We are particularly interested in candidates with:
/n
/n
- Senior-level local authority School Organisation / Place Planning experience.
/n
- Strong experience of public and statutory consultation.
/n
- Experience managing politically sensitive school organisation change.
/n
- Excellent stakeholder and elected member engagement skills.
/n
- Knowledge of education sufficiency, pupil forecasting and relevant statutory requirements.
/n
