My Local Authority client in Greater London is looking to appoint a talented Head of Communications & Channel Shift on a Contract basis. Lead on strategic communications objectives for the Council, whilst deputising for the Corporate Director. Local Authority experience is essential.

About the role:

  • Based in Greater London (hybrid): Focused (day-to-day) senior level support for the internal communications team to deliver next phase of change.
  • Project management and team co-ordination support for reputation management connected to public consultations over significant service changes.
  • Deputise for and assist the CD of Communications and Campaigns to develop and embed new planning processes and an account management-based approach to cross-council support and strategic alignment.
  • Shifting focus of our main comms channels from reactive content publication to proactive delivery anchored in long-term themes and objectives.

About you:

  • You will have the following experiences:
  • Significant experience of leading complex communications services / projects, within a Local Authority.
  • Reputational risk management skills.
  • Politically astute, with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Local Authority experience is essential.

What's on offer:

  • Salary: £610 per day, inside IR35
  • Hybrid Working (flexible)
  • Contract type: Contract
  • Hours: 09:00 -17:00 Monday to Friday
