Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting for an Interim Disrepair Surveyor to join a busy, high-profile housing disrepair team. This is a role focused on surveying occupied homes, specifying works, raising orders and driving cases through to completion. You will manage contractors on site, keep tenants informed, and ensure quality and health and safety standards are met throughout.
Responsibilities include:
- Surveying properties, diagnosing defects and specifying disrepair works
- Raising works orders to contractors and managing delivery end to end
- Completing pre-inspections, works-in-progress inspections and post-inspections
- Monitoring contractor performance, quality and programme
- Ensuring health and safety compliance across all works
- Liaising with tenants and supporting them throughout the works journey
- Coordinating temporary decants where required
- Working closely with internal stakeholders including legal and tenancy teams
About you:
- Strong background in property maintenance, surveying or repairs project delivery
- Social housing experience preferred (local authority or housing association)
- Confident writing specifications and managing contractor delivery on site
- Good understanding of health and safety in housing maintenance
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence and able to complete a Basic DBS
