My client in the South are looking to appoint a talented Director of HR on a Contract basis. The Director of Human Resources provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all people-related functions across the organisation. The postholder will lead the development and delivery of workforce strategies that support organisational priorities, statutory obligations, service transformation, and the delivery of high-quality public services.

What's on offer:

  • Salary: £600-£900 per day depending on experience (negotiable based on experience)
  • Hybrid working
  • Contract type: Contract
  • Monday - Friday

About the role:

  • Advise the Chief Executive, Members, and senior leadership team on workforce matters, employment legislation, organisational design, and culture
  • Oversee all HR operations including recruitment, employee relations, workforce planning, pay and reward, attendance management, and policy development
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, accountability, learning, and continuous improvement
  • Build and maintain constructive relationships with recognised trade unions and staff representatives

About you:

  • Extensive experience in a similar role
  • Chartered membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)
  • Experience leading organisational change and transformation programmes
