Location: Secondary School, Liverpool

Start Date: Monday 19th January

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

Pay Rate: £17.00 - £18.50 per hour (depending on experience)

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised School Office Manager to join a busy secondary school in Liverpool. This is a key role at the heart of the school, overseeing the day-to-day running of the school office and providing essential administrative support to senior leaders, staff, students, and parents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the daily operations of the school office
  • Leading and supporting office/administrative staff
  • Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and external agencies
  • Overseeing attendance, admissions, and pupil records
  • Managing SIMS/Arbor (or similar MIS systems)
  • Supporting finance processes, orders, and invoicing
  • Ensuring compliance with safeguarding and data protection requirements
  • Providing administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a school office (essential)
  • Experience in a senior administrative or office management role
  • Strong knowledge of school systems, policies, and procedures
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced school environment
