Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 15:30, Term Time Only.

Salary: From £106 per day, DOE

About the Role: Are you experienced in social care or personal care and eager to take your skills into a new, rewarding career path? We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join our team as Unqualified Teaching Assistants. In this role, you will work within mainstream primary schools, providing targeted support to pupils with additional needs. You will play a key role in helping children access learning, develop independence, and feel fully included in school life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, challenging behaviour, and speech and language delays.
  • Work 1:1 or in small groups, adapting lessons and creating personalised resources to suit individual learning needs.
  • Support pupils during breaks and activities outside the classroom, ensuring inclusion and safety.
  • Assist teachers in delivering an engaging and accessible learning experience for all children.
  • Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils to encourage confidence, resilience, and progress.

About You:

  • Experience working in social care, personal care, or similar supportive environments.
  • An interest in education and a willingness to learn and develop within a school setting.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trust with children who may face barriers to learning.
  • Flexibility and creativity in adapting activities and strategies to meet individual needs.
  • A proactive, team-focused approach to supporting pupils, staff, and families.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available later.
