Spencer Clarke Group are working in partnership with a highly successful and well-established Further Education college in Lancashire to recruit a Course Leader of Accounting on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounting teacher or lecturer looking to take the next step in their career, combining high-quality teaching with curriculum leadership responsibilities within a successful Business department.
The Role
As Course Leader of Accounting, you will deliver engaging and effective Accounting lessons while leading the planning, development and quality assurance of Accounting programmes. You will play a key role in supporting student achievement, maintaining high academic standards and ensuring an exceptional learner experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Teaching and assessing Accounting programmes to a high standard
- Leading course planning and curriculum development activities
- Monitoring student progress and implementing timely interventions where required
- Developing high-quality teaching and learning resources
- Supporting student recruitment, marketing and stakeholder engagement activities
- Leading standardisation and moderation processes
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to drive continuous improvement
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking to hear from candidates who have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related subject
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DET or equivalent), or willingness to achieve one
- Previous experience teaching Accounting within Further Education, Sixth Form or a similar setting
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to delivering outstanding teaching and learning
- The ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential
