My Local Authority client in the East Midlands is looking to appoint a talented IT Procurement Lead Officer on a Contract basis. This role will lead the development of agreed parts of an overall procurement strategy, team structure and enabling processes for the Council. About the role: Based in Greater London (Hybrid): Lead the procurement of contracts for the IT sub-category, worth an estimated £25-75m per annum, in line with Departmental service strategies Minimise the level of risk to NCC of non-compliance in contracts and facilitating efficiency improvements. Support the procurement of a portfolio of contracts to ensure that they deliver value for money, and that development and renewal comply with UK Procurement Legislation, Contract Procedure Rules and procedures for governance, risk and control Support the category manager in ensuring that adequate commercial understanding of the sub-category areas is in place across the department.About you: You will have the following experiences: Extensive experience of IT procurement for a Local Authority Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the Procurement Act 2023. CIPS Level 4 minimum.
