Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Tenancy Enforcement Officer for a Local Authority Client in Southwest London. In this role you will lead tenancy enforcement investigations, take proportionate legal action, and support vulnerable residents while ensuring lawful, trauma-informed decision-making.

Duties:

  • Lead investigations into tenancy breaches, including unlawful eviction and harassment cases
  • Prepare and progress enforcement actions, including notices, civil penalties, and legal case files
  • Provide advice and case support to residents, landlords, MPs, and Councillors on complex housing issues
  • Supervise and quality-assure work of junior staff while supporting safeguarding and multi-agency working

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Experience handling complex housing or statutory casework involving legal decision-making
  • Experience investigating tenancy issues, unlawful eviction, harassment, or similar enforcement matters
  • Experience producing clear, accurate written reports, decisions, or case files for formal/legal use
  • Experience working with vulnerable people and coordinating with multi-agency partners in high-risk cases

What's on offer:

  • Salary: £24+ph (may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience)
  • Contract type: 8 months minimum
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
