We are recruiting a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a supportive school in Kirkham. This is a full-time role starting ASAP, working Monday to Friday during term time.
About the Role:
As a SEN Teacher, you will lead learning for a small class or group of pupils with a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and physical or sensory impairments. Class sizes are small and you will be supported by a team of experienced teaching assistants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons matched to each pupil's starting point
- Work to EHCP outcomes and individual education plans
- Lead and direct a team of teaching assistants in your classroom
- Use positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques
- Track progress in small steps and report to parents and outside agencies
Who We're Looking For:
We welcome applications from teachers with SEN experience and from mainstream teachers looking to move into specialist provision:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience of SEN, SEMH or alternative provision is an advantage
- Mainstream teachers keen to specialise are welcome to apply
- Early Career Teachers, ECTs are welcome to apply
