Temporary Accommodation Officer in Kingston upon Thames

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Temporary Accommodation Officer for a Local Authority Client in Kingston.

In this role, you will manage and improve temporary accommodation for homeless households, ensuring properties are safe, compliant and residents are supported to sustain their homes.

Duties:

• Manage and inspect temporary accommodation to ensure safety, compliance and repair standards are met
• Work directly with residents to support tenancy sustainment, manage rent accounts and address anti-social behaviour
• Liaise with accommodation providers, contractors and internal teams to resolve issues and minimise voids
• Identify safeguarding risks, coordinate support services and contribute to service improvement and performance targets

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

• Experience working in a busy, customer-facing housing or similar frontline service
• Experience managing casework, including investigations, decision-making and record keeping
• Experience of partnership working and liaising with external providers or agencies
• Experience dealing with challenging situations, including conflict, arrears or anti-social behaviour

What\’s on offer:

Salary: £23ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 4-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
