Key Responsibilities- Open and secure the school buildings at the start and end of the day
- Carry out routine site checks to ensure health safety compliance
- Complete minor repairs, maintenance, and basic DIY tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the school site and grounds
- Set up and clear down rooms for lessons, meetings, and events
- Monitor site security, respond to alarms, and report any issues
- Manage waste disposal and deliveries
- Liaise with contractors and ensure work is carried out safely
- Support staff with day-to-day site and facilities needs
- Previous experience in a school caretaking, site management, or facilities role
- Practical and hands-on with good maintenance and DIY skills
- Strong awareness of health safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Trustworthy and comfortable working in a school environment
