Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Solutions Officer for a Local Authority Client in Manchester. In this role you will work directly with individuals at risk of homelessness to assess their needs, provide expert housing advice, and develop personalised solutions to help secure and sustain accommodation.
Duties:
- Assess housing need, risk, and eligibility in line with homelessness legislation.
- Develop and review personalised housing plans to prevent homelessness.
- Provide advice, support, and options to help service users secure accommodation.
- Work with partner agencies to coordinate support and safeguard vulnerable residents.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience working in homelessness, housing advice, or a frontline customer-facing support role.
- Experience applying housing or homelessness legislation (e.g., Homelessness Reduction Act 2017) in casework decisions.
- Experience working with vulnerable adults or families with complex needs in a statutory or voluntary setting.
- Experience working collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver coordinated, outcome-focused support.
What's on offer:
- Salary: £18+ph *may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
- Contract type: 3-6 months minimum
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
