We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive SEN school in Hexham, working with pupils across Years 6-10. This is an immediate-start opportunity for a teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential. The Role You will be responsible for: Planning and delivering engaging lessons for pupils with SEN. Adapting teaching and learning to meet individual needs. Creating a positive, safe and supportive classroom environment. Working closely with teaching assistants, support staff and other professionals. Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development. Managing behaviour positively and effectively. Monitoring progress and contributing to individual education plans. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Has qualified teacher status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience. Has experience working within an SEN/SEND setting. Has a patient, nurturing and inclusive approach. Can build positive relationships with pupils. Is confident managing challenging behaviour. Works well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Has an enhanced DBS on the Update Service. Is available for an immediate start.
