Spencer Clarke Group is working in partnership with Hertfordshire Local Authority to recruit dedicated and compassionate SEND Tutors to provide 1:1 tuition and mentoring for learners in the HP2 area. These learners have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and are currently unable to attend mainstream school. The role involves delivering tailored educational support to help re-engage students in learning and improve their academic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver 1:1 tuition in English and Maths
- Provide tailored support to meet individual learning needs
- Build positive, supportive relationships with learners
- Support students with SEND and SEMH needs to re-engage with education
- Monitor and report on learner progress
- Proven teaching or tutoring experience
- Experience working with SEND and/or SEMH learners
- Strong understanding of differentiated learning approaches
- Ability to engage and motivate learners outside of a school setting
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
