We are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Wiltshire to appoint an experienced Interim Headteacher from September 2026. This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to provide stability, direction, and impact during an important period for the school.

This position would suit an experienced Headteacher or a senior leader with prior leadership experience who can confidently step into an interim role and lead from day one. This is an important role for the school and wider trust and whoever would like to be considered for this role MUST be able to start in role from September 2026 at the latest which is a non-negotiable.

We are looking for someone:

  • To provide strong visible leadership across the school
  • Who has a strong understanding and hands-on experience of school improvement
  • To be able to work with governors and senior leaders across the trust
  • Who can build very good relationships with staff, parents, and the school community
  • Who has proven leadership experience within a primary school setting
  • Who is committed
