My Local Authority client in Greater London is looking to appoint a talented Head of Procurement on a Contract basis. The role will provide strategic leadership for the corporate procurement function, while leading on transformation objectives. About the role: Based in London (Hybrid): Lead a service of up to 22 procurement and commercial professionals, directly managing senior leaders within the function. Lead and deliver the Council s procurement transformation programme, championing innovation, efficiency and best value. Develop and implement the Council s procurement strategy, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations and best practice. Take overall responsibility for procurement governance, contract management frameworks and procurement policies.About you: You will have the following experiences: Significant experience leading a procurement function, in a Local Authority context. Demonstrable record of delivering procurement transformation, commercial savings and service improvements. Strong experience managing budgets, teams and performance in a leadership capacity.
