Spencer Clarke Group are supporting a large public sector organisation on the South Coast with the appointment of an interim Head of Housing Works to lead a high-profile operational service covering repairs, voids, compliance and investment works.
This is a senior leadership role, responsible for driving safety, performance, productivity and customer outcomes, alongside strengthening operational grip, reporting, and continuous improvement across a busy housing repairs environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the in-house delivery arm (DLO) across repairs, maintenance, compliance and voids
- Owning operational performance, scheduling, quality assurance and productivity improvement
- Ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance (building safety, H&S, CDM, Decent Homes and related standards)
- Using data and operational insight to improve planning, cost control and service outcomes
- Managing stakeholders across housing leadership, corporate services, contractors and suppliers
About you:
- Strong leadership background in social housing repairs / property services / housing maintenance
- Track record of leading operational delivery (ideally including a DLO) and improving performance
- Confident managing compliance, quality assurance, H&S and regulatory standards in housing
- Comfortable operating at senior level with stakeholders, governance and performance reporting
