Spencer Clarke Group are working closely with a Local Authority to appoint an Interim Head of Finance Business Partnering to lead the Council's finance business partnering function. This is a senior interim leadership assignment focused on delivering effective financial advice, strategic support and business partnering across the Council.

The Role
The successful candidate will lead the Finance Business Partnering service, supporting strategic decision-making, budget management and delivery of the Medium-Term Financial Strategy.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading and managing Senior Finance Business Partners and associated teams.
- Providing strategic financial advice to Directors, senior officers and elected Members.
- Supporting budget setting, budget monitoring, financial planning and MTFS delivery.
- Challenging and influencing service decisions to ensure best value and strong financial management.
- Improving financial reporting, analysis, modelling and links between finance, activity and outcomes.
- Supporting transformation, savings delivery and service improvement across the Council.
