My Local Authority client in Central London is looking to appoint a talented Head of Age Well Commissioning on a Contract basis. The role leads a commissioning team focused on older and/or frail residents, including physical disabilities.
About the role:
- Based in Central London (hybrid): Contribute to the professional development of the team and co-ordinate the delivery of a complex programme of work centred on core health and care priorities.
- Contribute to planning for continuous reduction in health and wellbeing inequalities across the borough in collaboration across the council, the wider health system.
- Take stock of the current commissioning arrangements and the status of public health-commissioned services, engaging with Public Health Consultants, Heads of Programme, and Policy Officers to develop and implement a commissioning plan for the division.
- Assess, rationalise, and deliver all aspects of high quality public health commissioning with a view to tackling inequalities, improving outcomes and generating value for residents.
About you:
- You will have the following experiences:
- Significant experience of All Age Commissioning. Joint / integrated experience is essential.
- Politically astute, with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- ICB / NHS / CCG / Local Authority experience is essential.
