Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Temporary Accommodation Housing Officer for a Local Authority Client in North London. In this role, you will manage temporary accommodation, support residents to sustain their tenancies, and ensure properties are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with housing standards.
Duties:
- Manage and maintain temporary accommodation, ensuring properties are safe and compliant.
- Support residents with tenancy sustainment, benefits, and rent processes.
- Conduct welfare checks, property inspections, and respond to maintenance issues.
- Liaise with landlords, providers, and internal teams to deliver a high-quality service.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working in housing or property management environments.
- Knowledge of Housing Act Part VII and temporary accommodation processes.
- Familiarity with welfare benefits and supporting residents with applications.
- Experience liaising with landlords, tenants, and external stakeholders.
What's on offer:
- Salary: £28ph (may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience)
- Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
