We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a specialist educational setting in Eccles. This rewarding role involves supporting children and young people with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), physical disabilities, communication needs, and medical requirements.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping students access learning, develop independence, and achieve their individual goals in a safe and supportive environment. This role will include aspects of personal care and supporting students with their daily needs.
The Role
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with complex needs
- Supporting learning and development both inside and outside the classroom
- Assisting with communication, sensory, and therapeutic activities
- Supporting students with personal care, including toileting, changing, feeding, and personal hygiene where required
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and social interaction
- Assisting with mobility and physical support when necessary
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Promoting a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

Essential Requirements
- Enhanced DBS certificate covering Child and Adult Workforce, registered on the DBS Update Service, or willingness to apply and pay for a new DBS check.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Ability to provide professional references covering the last two years.
- Comfortable supporting students with personal care needs.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
