We are currently recruiting for dedicated, reliable, and caring School Support Staff to join a supportive school in the Derby (DE21) area for an immediate start. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people in education and contributing to a positive and inclusive school environment.
Role Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils across the school with a range of needs
- Assisting teaching staff with classroom learning and activities
- Providing 1:1 and small group support where required
- Supporting behaviour, engagement, and emotional wellbeing
- Helping to implement support plans and school strategies
- Promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the classroom and school
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable)
- Transferable skills from care, support work, youth work, or similar roles welcome
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, calm, and adaptable approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
DBS Requirement:
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child & Adult) preferred OR willingness to obtain a new Child & Adult DBS before starting.
