1:1 SEND Tutor - Derbyshire Working in partnership with the Local Authority | Spencer Clarke Tutors Pay Rate: £25-£32 per hour Location: Derbyshire Hours: Flexible, dependent on learner requirements Contract: Part-time Spencer Clarke Tutors are looking for an experienced and compassionate 1:1 SEND Tutor to support children and young people across Derbyshire through Local Authority-funded education programmes. You will provide personalised tuition to learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who may be accessing alternative provision, EOTAS, or require additional support to remain engaged with their education. The Role Deliver engaging 1:1 tuition tailored to each learner. Adapt lessons to meet individual SEND needs and learning styles. Develop positive, supportive relationships with children and young people. Help learners build confidence, engagement and independence. Monitor progress and provide clear session feedback. Support learners with their academic, social and personal development. Requirements Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND. Teaching qualification, tutoring experience or relevant educational experience. Strong communication and behaviour management skills. Ability to differentiate learning and adapt sessions to individual needs. Experience supporting learners with additional needs, SEMH or barriers to education is desirable.
