Spencer Clarke Group are currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a specialist education setting in Darwen. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced or aspiring Teaching Assistant (TA) looking to work within SEND education, supporting children with additional needs in a structured and rewarding school environment.

The Role

  • Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Working with children with Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning needs
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support in the classroom
  • Supporting behaviour management, emotional regulation, and engagement
  • Helping deliver a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Assisting teachers with learning activities and classroom support

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people in an education setting preferred
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Patient, resilient, and supportive approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
